Are there limits with the Classic Apex regarding the number of inputs and outputs you can rename? I have 9 float switches renamed and it won't let me rename the 10th one. Thanks.

There are no limits to the number of outputs which can be renamed.
In recent Apex Classic firmware, up to 24 inputs may be renamed. It was 11 in older firmware. Is that Apex running old firmware? Might you have miscounted & and have already renamed 11 inputs, not 9?

Actually I do have more than 11. I forgot the probes are inputs not just the float switches. Do I update firmware thru the classic dashboard

Is there a way to find out what FW is on my unit now?

Ok I found it and the FW is current according to the link.

Maybe I should submit a service ticket. If the outputs are unlimited I have some that can’t be renamed.

No I went to the network heading. All my modules say they are up to date. I thought Russ said the outputs were unlimited but the input limit was 24.

There is no limit to the number of outputs which may be renamed, and I have no doubt that zombie knows this. I suspect that he just misread your post as saying "inputs" rather than "outputs".
If you are unable to rename an output, then submit a tech support request.

Turns out Apex customer service found a corrupt file that was the problem. All works now. Great customer service from Apex.
