    Newbie question about flow rates

ugh, so I've narrowly avoided flooding my basement 3 times. Here's the deal:

I have a Varios8 pump hooked up to my Apex.
I have 3/4" pipes on the return (I know, I wish now that I'd make them 1.25")
I have a herbie drain at 1" for both pipes
    So 1" down, 3/4" up.
I have union ball valves at every friggin place possible.

My pump is operating at about 15%, which I LOVE. It's quiet, and I know that if I need it, it'll empty my sump1 in seconds. I have two sumps...

Q: How do I program my Varios8 to go to 20% (So UP 5%) for 5 minutes every day?

This is because my sump1 is slowly filling, like a ml an hour. If I could push the pump a bit every day, it would reduce the chance I get an overflow.

That's not the right approach to solve that problem. I would do one or more of the below.

    1. Increase speed to 16% all the time or throttle the drain a touch

    2. Adjust your locline in the display so that less water can siphon to the sump when the return shuts off.

    3. Verify proper operation of your ATO and any AWC systems.
