    Help connecting to wifi

I have a apex controller with two energy bars. I have had it set up for about one year. Today is wouldn't connect to my wifi so I pressed the reset button. After the second reset press the apex light went to blue and the energy bar stayed orange. I attempted to connect to the apex via apex local. I connected to the apex wifi then selected my WIFI network and entered my password. The apex lights blinked and turned orange. my tank lights flashed and then came back on. After a few minutes the apex app times out and the apex light turns back to blue. What can I do to fix this? Thank you!!!

How do I reboot it? I unplugged it and it still does the same thing?

    That's one way to reboot.

Try going into the apex wifi again and retrying the setup when it goes blue, then reboot it. It's possible you typoed something and it discarded it.

What do you mean upload? I connect from my phone to the apex wifi. I then select my network and input password. Thats when it fails.

You dont happen to have spaces in your wifi password do you? That has bitten me before on a few devices (Though haven't tested on 2016).

Another big issue I see is that there are two SSID with a strong signal that are both on the same channel that might be causing enough interference to prevent a connection. I would go into your router settings and change your channel to 6 or 1.

THAT DID THE TRICK THANK YOU!!!! Next question is now my wifi is on channel 6. Is that going to effect anything else on my network? Whats the difference between 6 and 11?

It wont have any adverse affect on any of your other devices, and will probably increase your Netflix streaming rate. I periodically check the channel interference with an app on my phone and change my wifi channel to whichever has the least congestion since my router is dumb and cant figure it out for itself even though I spent an inordinate amount of money on it (it has put me on channel 2 before when 1 and 6 were more congested than 11). Only use 1, 6 or 11.

The Apex just uses whatever channel your router is configured to use. The Apex cannot change the router's Wi-Fi channel.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
