From the rumor mill, it is my understanding the Apex 2016 version has the RF chipset that is needed to control the Hydra52/26 (NON HD) lights built in and awaiting a firmware update to enable this capability. Is that true and if so, is there a release date on the firmware? The reason I ask is I have Hydra52 (non-HD) that I would like to control via the Apex, however the AWM is now discontinued and I am unable to locate any new or used.
Regardless of the Apex model, an AWM is required to fully control AI Vegas, original Hydras and non-HD Hydra 26 & 52.

The forthcoming ability for the Apex (2016) is only for controlling Prime, Prime HD, and the Hydra 26HD/52HD models.
