Lights dim when relay cuts out

I’ve noticed my Kessil lights dim momentarily when my CO2 relay cuts off on my EB8. I’ve tried both relay controlled sockets so I suspect it may be the solenoid itself causing this. It’s on a fairly long cord so I don’t know if maybe a shorter cord or maybe a ferrite core on the power cord would help or if the coil is just shot at this point. Any ideas on possible fixes? I have no idea on the solenoid brand so a coil replacement would probably mean replacing the whole solenoid unit.

Could be interference from the cord. Are the kessil and solenoid cords routed together for more than a foot?

Looks like inductance was the culprit. The 0-10V signal was routed away from the solenoid wire and it happened even if I disconnected the 0-10V cable. What’s odd is that the lights and Tunze pumps were put on a separate power strip direct to the wall a while back and it still happened, but the solenoid cord was nearby since the tank is only a couple inches off the wall.

Moving the solenoid cable to wrap around the outside of the stand solves the issue for now. I’ll have to come up with a better way to route it later. It’s like the manufacturers research this stuff to make every power cord a hand width too short, or make it so you can wind it around the tank 5 times.

    Thanks for the help.

Apparently spoke too soon. I’ll try moving things around more tomorrow.
