    Programming a dehumidifier

Hey guys. I want to use my apex breakout box to control a dehumidifier that I keep in my basement. It would be connected to the the apex eb8.

Question I have is which humistat can I install that I can wire into the breakout box. And then of course the code that would make it work

    thanks

Any humidistat should work fine. The digital ones will require you to supply them with 24VDC on their power terminals and wire the dry contact output to the breakout box. The old school type can be wired directly with no source power, but are not as accurate.

Can you possible send me a link of a good electronic one ?

Can The eb8 handle this load. Or do I have to buy the heavy duty eb4

Honeywell is basically the go-to for humidistats. As previously mentioned, you will need to wire it to a 24V power supply.

Whether it will work on an EB8 depends on the dehumidifier. I would need to know make and model.
