Help with ph reading. After calibrate my tank is 9.19

    Hi,

I have been out for a long period, now I am puting my tank back again.

I went to calibrate the probes, bought 10 and 7 solutions and....
    my ph is reading 9.19
I put probe in 7 solution again and reading was 6,96, in 10 solution, 10, and in tank again, 9,19

All the fishes, 1 large YT, 1 large Foxface, and 1 large Sailfin, all my corals (lethers and soft only) looks like ok.
I have in a climatation box, 1 small Naso, also looks ok.

    This is normal??

I will receive others fish in 2 days, should I abort?

Was your pH probe kept hydrated during the period the tank was broken down? If not that would explain the erroneous reading. If your tank is actually at 9, everything in the tank would be dead, so the reading is obviously wrong.

    Hello Zombie, long time.

    I totally agree with you.
The tank was not broken, I that was not investing in my tank, I had lost 2 EB8 and here is very, very expensive. Now I just add 8 Clowns and will receive more tang in next 2 days.
Then I went to calibrate probe and decided to use a new one.
Yes it was with fluid, even been from august 2016, I puted back in 10 solution, and reading ok, than back in 7 solution and reading near 7 also, now my reading is 9,25.
I will try with old probe now.

Probably bad probe or poor connection. Try cleaning the BNC connector too.
