Energy Bar 832 and Surge Protector

Is is advisable to plug the Energy Bar 832 into a surge protector although it has a 15 Amp circuit breaker for over-current protection? If so, any particular model recommend (e.g. P3 Kill a Watt 10?)

    Thanks!

I have a few of my energy bars connected to a UPS to ensure surge protection but also battery backup power. I also have my Apex unit plugged directly into the wall with a wall wart and use power monitoring to ensure that things that would kill the battery on my UPS like heaters, chiller, etc. turn off when the power goes out. Best of both worlds in my opinion.

Surge protection has nothing to do with overcurrent protection. Surge protection is used to limit overvoltages from things like lightning to prevent damage to equipment. You should always have the apex and any other electronics on a surge protector.
