Fully Submerging temp and ph sensor

So I installed a PM1 with Temp sensor on my QT tank. It doesn’t have sump it’s a HOB filter and so when I do water changes the temp sensor comes out of water and back in. I was wondering if I can lower the sensor to below the water change level (which would fuller submerge sensor and couple of inches of sensor wire constantly. Is this ok? I couldn’t find it with search.

Also is this the case with PH probe too? I want to add one but won’t if it can’t be submerged since I don’t want the probe to keep coming out of water and back in. I can’t imagine they being any good for the ph sensor.

    Thanks

Thank you. How far down can the ph probe be submerged and how bad is it when it comes out of water for say 5-10mins tops during WC?

    Much appreciated.

It cant be continuously submerged above the start of the cap.

Being out of water for 5-10 minutes wont hurt it, but you will have issues with bubbles causing false readings until they break loose. Mounting it at a slight angle so bubbles are easier to break loose can help.

Thank you. The PH probe is longer. Maybe I can make it work so it doesn’t come out of the water. Will have to do some measurements.
