    Issue with saving programming

My Apex (classic) has been having an annoying issue for a while now where every time I update programming I have to save it twice. Both times the message pops up saying it was 'successful', but I do notice the first time it goes super fast, and the second time the progress moves at the normal semi-slow pace. Any idea what might be causing this? FYI, it happens in both Fusion and direct.

I am currently on the 4.53_AB17 which seems to be the most recent firmware. Should I reinstall the firmware just in case?
