New to Programming on Apex

Hello all!

I own an Apex that I bought for 799.00 a month and a half ago.
This is my first time using the gadget and I have a ton of questions, but what I really want to know is: what can I do with the Apex?

Here's my current gadget config as well as tank:

2x - Vortech MP 40 quiet drive - main wavemakers (on the sides) connected to apex;
2x - Jebao PP8 - meant to create some surface agitation (on the back aiming the surface) connected to apex;
1x - Reef Oct 150 SS Regal Skimmer - connected to the apex;
1x - 300w Viparspectra light - not connected to the apex;
1x - 20 gal sump with 7inch filter sock - where all the apex probes are in;

Display tank is a 120g Deep Blue mixreef.

The whole point of this topic is to try to understand what can I do better using apex, besides of constantly monitoring pH, salinity, temp and ORP... I know that there are some cool customization that you can do, for example, with the vortech pumps, perhaps ramp up or down the lights (if I connect them to the apex)? Like if you had said configuration plus good knowledge about the Apex, what could you do?

It's kind of like Lego's. You can build anything and are only limited by your imagination and how pieces fit together. Some device can be completed configured and controlled by your Apex while other may have more limited control
such as On / Off in response to a certain Apex programmed circumstance. I would suggest taking a look at some of the D.I.Y., lighting and Pump threads to give you ideas for fun things such and controlling solenoids, lightning effects
etc...
