Same way you connect to wifi. You just point to the hotspot SSID.

An Apex Classic cannot connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot without the use of a third-party Wi-Fi adapter.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

Yes, but note: You must hard-wire an Apex Classic to your network to do firmware updates.

    Thanks bigjim,

I'll be sure to hard-wire when I'm ready to update firmware. I'm still researching how to connect the Netgear adapter to my Verzion Jetpack?

Most wireless access points require you hard wire it to a confuser on your wifi network and run their wizard. After that unplug it from the confuser and attach your apex and you're gtg.

You have to reboot the apex with DHCP enabled to pull network settings through the adapter.

Yeah. The apex classic can't update network settings without a reboot. I use static not DHCP personally, but it needs a reboot either way.

I didn’t do this, as soon as I get home I’ll reboot.
    Thanks!

Well I had my hopes up that everything would be good to go, But I was wrong! I rebooted the Apex several times but still Nada! Not sure what I'm doing wrong or what settings are off? Its kinda disappointing, BUT I'm not giving up. I know this will work with a little more guidance from the experts on this forum...

If you go into your router can you see the apex listed as a connected device? If so note the ip address and point your browser to that address. It not only are you sure the access point is working? Do you have another network device you can try to confirm it's working properly?

I don't have a typical router in use, I have the Verizon 4G Jetpack and Netgear WIFI adapter. I can log into the Jetpack and I do see my other devices connected but not the Apex.

Make sure you can connect a computer to the wireless adapter (with wifi turned off).

    You need to try this:
    1. Plug a computer into the wireless adapter.
    2. Go into the network settings of the computer you connected to the adapter in step 1 and disable its wifi.
    3. Open a browser and try surfing the web.
If you can access the web the adapter is working properly. If not something is wrong with the adapter.

BTW I like your network name.

Ok maybe we're making some head way, Logged into adapter, disabled WIFI and was NOT able to surf the web. I'll buy a new one and set it up this weekend. Hopefully this is my problem...
