Does Apex Gear in Cabinet Require Cooling Fans / Vents?

I'm actively configuring an Apex system (on paper) to purchase and install. In the name of order and tidiness (for the Mrs.), I'm obliged to put it all in some sort of cabinet (purchased or constructed) as I only have so much room under my 60 cube. My question is: Much like computer and stereo equipment, does Apex gear (controller, display, Trident and DOS) require cooling fans or vents for proper operation?

It should be fine without any additional cooling fans in normal room temperature. The EB832 has its own built-in fan that requires 1" of clearance at the right side to allow for air flow. If the cabinet is extremely small, I would install some vents.

None of my Aped modules run very hot compared to my home entertainment systems or network switches.

I agree with above. I have my Apex unit, 3 modules, and 2 EB832's in a enclosed cabinet with no issues. It really depends on the amp draw on the powerbars, as to whether or not they generate a lot of heat. I also have 2 Ecotech modules, 1 Gyre module and 1 Maxspect ICV6 module, and 1 Tunze 3155 module in the same 30"x24' cabinet.

What model of cabinet you use? Or it`s self made?

I use a cabinet that I bought at Target to keep my electronics away from a wet environment. The picture below is from a few years ago when I was putting it together. I since added a few more modules to it.
