You must use an Aquabus cable. There is no wireless method to interconnect Apex system components.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
That's what I ended up doing, I have 4 separate locations in my fishroom that has an aquabus connection on a wall plate. that way I can have an EB8, EB832 or any module in various locations.
But I tore the room down to studs and wired it all, that's not a possibility for most hobbyist.
A lot of new homes have fire blocks that are horizontal 2x4s connected between each 2x4 stud about half way up the wall. I ran into that problem when running the data cable to my existing router. I ended up having to purchase drill bit extensions to bring the length to 6' so that I can drill through that fire block from the attic. As luck would have it, when drilling through one in my office I drilled through a low voltage alarm system wire to an upstairs window. that required removal of the drywall to repair.
