Received Replacement Base Unit 2016...NOW WHAT?

Neptune sent me a replacement due to some issues. I expected detailed, step by step instructions included for making the transition as easy as possible. Nope. Nada. Any suggestions?

Can I store and secure all my data?
Can I back up my settings?
    What happens when I unplug?
Is there a particular order to plug things back in?
    What happens to my dashboard?
And on and on and on and on...

Good grief, tons of questions. There has got to be an easy to follow, peace of mind set of instructions somewhere. Maybe a PDF? Anything?

Do you still have the original head unit or just the replacement?

I still have the original. I did receive a reply from Neptune support. They were talking about getting an additional 12v power supply, powering up the second unit, so on and so forth.

Set up the new one on 12V aux. Back up the old apex. Move modules in the same order as the aquabus numbers on the old one. Restore the backup on the new apex.

how did this work out for you? I'm in the same boat. Waiting on my replacement now. Not sure I understand what " move modules in the same order as the aquabus numbers on the old one" means

Each module gets assigned an aquabus number when it gets plugged in and it does so sequentially. Your saved config will only work if the modules have the same address as your saved config, so you need to plug the modules in the correct order so those numbers match up.
