    How to power apex solenoid

Does the solenoid have to be connected to a fmm module to be powered or can it be powered directly from the energy bar. Thanks

    Either.

The FMM will have to have the power supply connected to it.

The solenoid can go to the DC24 port on the EB832 or to a optional power supply for it. You then plug that power supply into the 110v of the Energy Bar

This is directly from Neptune's web page for the solenoid:

"The electrical connection on this solenoid valve fits the DC24 accessory ports found on the FMM, 1Link, and Energy Bar 832 products."

While true, it's a little misleading with regards to the OP's question.
It will plug into the FMM, but in order to work, the FMM must have aux power connected to it.

    From Neptune's site:
    DC24 ACCESSORY PORT BUILT-IN!

The FMM has another trick up it’s sleeve. In addition to the four sensor ports, the FMM also has a DC24 accessory port and a power supply input. This can be used to add another controllable outlet to your set up. So, if you do want make your own ATO and attach our available PMUP or Solenoid Valve you can do so. Simply add our 36W 24V DC power supply.

Neptune recommends not to plug the FMM into a Energy Bar. You can switch the solenoid on and off with the tile for the 24v port of the FMM so you don't need to use the energy bar for that.

My Apex Solenoid is plugged into my Apex Energy bar DC24 .
    Optical Sensor plugged into FMM_3
I can not find the Solenoid on the Apex Dash Board. There is not a "module" displayed for the solenoid.
    What am I missing?

The solenoid is not a module. You control the solenoid using the DC24 output it is plugged into.
