Question Fried my EB832. Can I run Apex Base Unit Standalone?

Short version: EB832 got some water on it, sparks went flying. The Apex Base Unit was spared. If I get an auxiliary power supply for the Apex (2.1mm tip, 12V input ,0.7A DC output with a center positive electrode (Use Neptune P/N PS12)), can I run it independently or does it need to be attached to the Energy Bar? Other than switched outlets, are there any other features I'd be losing?

Update: Magically found an AC adaptor at home that fit the specs. Apex booted up and is reporting to Fusion again.

I do still want to know: am I missing anything from the Energy Bar other than switched outlets and energy monitoring?

You just lose anything that was connected to that energy bar, outlets, 24V acc, and 1link. The apex will still operate any other module and read probes as usual.

You can contact apex and they will repair. Worst case scenario is $180 for them to replace the circuit board. Might get lucky and it just needs to be cleaned. They were awesome. Fried two luckily only one needed a full replacement.
