    Doser with calc reactor?

So on another forum, there was a suggestion of using a (Neptune) doser in conjunction with a calcium reactor to control the effluent.
Reason behind this had to do with bypassing use of a ph probe that could fail. There is another component to the equation but it can be ignored for now.

Doing some basic math-this amounts to approximately 22 gallons a day -something that the doser could handle but is this a good use? Would this simply be wear and tear?

Just curious to hear from the apex crew on this.

    TIA

The DOS can do at most 30 gallons a day. If you are using 22 gal of effluent a day, the DOS is not the ideal choice. You are better off with a used Cole Palmer variable speed peristalic for that application and these can often be found used for about $500.
