    APEX in Japan

    Hi,
    I'm after a Neptune Apex 2016 + EnergyBar.
    Am located in Japan (Tokyo).

I've looked at the Neptune website for Dealers/Online Retailers/Distributors but nothing for Japan.

Am looking at what my options are...
as the electrical plugs are the same as the US, but the Eastern part of Japan (i.e., Tokyo) has 100V 50Hz.

That would pose a problem since the unit is designed for 120V AND 60Hz (both are important). There are really only two options to get it working for you.

    1. Buy a 1-2 kVA frequency converter and use that with the 2016 Apex and US EB832 model. This would require that any devices that don't have universal power supplies be rated for US 120V 60Hz

    2. Use a step up transformer for 220V and use a European style 2016 Apex with EB6. This would require that any devices plugged in be 220V or universal power supply.
