    Conductivity Probe Not Accurate

My conductivity probe, even when it was brand new and after calibration always reads low. Like 31 PPT when the tank is showing 35 using my Milwaukee Digital meter.

I have made the mistake of assuming my tank salinity has been way low all this time so I got the tank up to 35 on the Apex. In doing that I don't think I've harmed anything long term and I'm trying to bring it back down slowly, but my old standard glass/light refractometer, the Milwaukee, and my LFS confirmed that my salinity is showing 40 PPT even though the Apex is (was) reading 35.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to manually offset the probe on the Apex. I know it's time for a new probe, but like I said... It's been low the entire time I've had it. I bought one of the first systems when they came out in 2016.

Did you remember to float your calibration packet to match it to tank temp before calibrating?

Yes. All three times. I've finally got my tank back down to where the salinity is still a little high but everything doesn't look as mad. Apex is showing 32.3.

When you did the dry step, did you rinse it off and pad dry with a paper towel (recommended method), or did you let it dry for several hours like BRS recommends (bad practice)?
