FMM (atk) not fully setting up

    hey all

So I purchased an ATK and am having problems fully "setting it up" on my profile. I have updated firmware & even had the 2 sensors set up in my main screen - but the actual ATK setup isn't here..

I have not been able to access the "tasks" section to set it up fully

    here is my main screen
    Screen Shot 2018-11-23 at 8.06.34 PM.jpg

here it the configuration section not showing the "tasks" subsetting.

here I changed the names of the sensors to coincide with the renaming of the FMM module

I'm just confused why I don't have that tasks section available for this module?

    thanks for the help

Are you sure you don't have the task for it? I don't even own an ATK and I have the task on both my 2016 apex and my classic.

Tasks are only in APEX Fusion. They are not in the APEX Local interface.

maybe someone can give me some more insight on how my ATK is functioning.

If my ATKS_1 (digital switch 1) is open - then why isn't the ATK running? I have 90 gallons and keep the house at 70... should we be seeing the pump run for 30 seconds an hour like it is?

    thanks

It is normal for the low sensor to show OPEN and not currently be filling with the default code. If the level drops below the sensor and it filled less than 60 minutes ago, the switch will show OPEN but it will wait to fill.

If you don't like seeing this behavior, you can either increase the defer then OFF time to induce a little bit more overfill (increase a couple seconds at a time until it takes more than 60 minutes between most fills) or you can reduce the min time length and let it fill more often. I would recommend the former over the latter.

So change the min time from 060:00 to like 030:00? Meaning the pump can turn on 30 minutes later?

I prefer increasing the defer 000:04 Then OFF over changing min time (increases pump lifespan if you only dose hourly) but changing min time from 60 to 30 would allow it to dose as often as 30 minutes after the last dose.

What does the 000:04 then off function do?

    Thanks!

It makes it so the pump continues to fill until either optical has been continuously closed for 4 seconds. By increasing this number, you intentionally overfill the sensor a small amount so that by the time the water level settles out and less than an hours evaporation has occurred, the optical will remain covered.

Hey all now here comes the newest adventure

I checked to ensure that water level is below sensor 1 (it is).

I assume there’s a way to reset the sensor? Any links or help would be much appreciated

    Robert

Make sure it is plugged in all the way (this takes a bit of force) and that the sensor is clean.

    Hey zombie

It is fully plugged in - how have you cleaned your sensors in the past? Mine looks clean to me. Looks no different than sensor 1.

Wipe it with a paper towel.

Those sensors are bad about going out as well.I had one less then 3 weeks and it went bad. Neptune replaced it and that one lasted about two and a half weeks and its back at Neptune again. I'm waiting to get it back right now and we'll see how long this one last this time I guess.
