Gas Water Heater Titanium Heat Exchange

Does anyone have or can link an Apex running a gas water heater exchanger? I am considering this as an option for my dream tank I will be working towards over the next few years.

Sorry I was tired last night. Drop the gas part since its irrelevant. I just meant, has anyone used a heat exchanger with a recirculating pump tied to their Apex for temperature control?

I haven't personally, but you would program it the same way you would program a heater.

Thanks. That makes sense. I’d still wonder if anyone has done it and has any pics or feedback on how it has worked out. I’d love to not need 2 kW of heaters.

I would still use two heaters anyway for redundancy and just have their setpoint slightly lower so if the heat exchanger can handle it on it's own the heaters will just stay on standby. Though you could get away with much less heater. If your tank needs 2kW of heaters, two 500W would fit the bill well.

That’s a good idea. Heaters are cheap.
