flow, turn overs and # of wav pumps

    i have a 150 gallon tank 6 foot long.
right now i have two wav at the far ends of the tank.

i seem to get at most a flow # of about 5 or 5.1

i am planning on adding sps corals so i am thinking that i may need another wav to get the flow number to go over 5.1 for this size of tank.
does that seem right or am i not setting a good profile?

seems like the per wav flow is not a simple add / sum that the tank volume influences the total flow number; is that right?

The FLO number is a representation of turnovers per hours and is also logarithmic so that a flo of 10 is much more than double the turnover of 5. For a 150 sps tank you want to target a combined flowrate of your pumps (rpms displayed are very similar to flowrate) of around 8000-10000 gph. Since you can only get 8000 out of two WAVs, you will need more pumps, which could either be a third WAV or you could mix it up with something like a gyre.

If you click on the FLO tiles' gear icon, then click the ?, there's good info about what FLO is and how it works.
