Help with Simple Delay on < Watts

Can you put a delay in the statement:
If Output RTRN_PWR_2_1 Watts <1 005 Then ON?
I get save errors , and it is changed to "If Output RTRN_PWR_2_1 Watts < 5 Then ON", so I guess not.
I would like an Alarm of my Varios8 DC Pump if it stalls.
But apparently, the wattage of this pump varies all over the place, even though the flow remains constant.
I'm not sure if there's something wrong with my EB832 or if this pump actually manages to range between 1 Watt and 90 Watts, all the while holding steady output.
It swings so much that the typical "IF...Watts <X" it will alarm even if <1 within minutes of saving the alarm.
I can achieve this from the FS100 on my Return, but was just tinkering with my New EB832 and Return Pump.

You should have a global delay in your email if you haven't done so already. Most people do a 30 second defer then ON and a 10 second defer then OFF

Does the Wild and rapid variance in supposed wattage seem of concern?

I changed the data log to 1 minute intervals and now can see the swings, in the output flow and wattage.
At 10 minutes, it grapphed smooth as ice.

If your Varios is changing flow and wattage all over the place, I would check to make sure you didn't set it to run some weird mode or something and if not contact Ecotech.

Right now, it is just set to run on a Variable 0-10v output at a steady 40%.
I'll try letting the controller do the work at a steady output and see if that rules out the Apex 0-10v.
If not I'll try contacting Octo, then Apex.

Thanks Zombie, I added the Global Defer to my Alarm, that has done the trick.

I also have the Varios 8 and I use wattage monitoring to detect when I've hit the feed button on the varios controller. Mine never has a false alarm like the problem you're having so I'm thinking your pump or controller may be defective.

It looks like there is no actual problem with the pump. I can't figure out if the eb832 is processing so fast that it catches a millisecond of low wattage consumption or if it is wrong in seeing a low wattage at all. Either way the defer makes it a non issue.
