    Tunze 3155 question

I have mine setup to be off on feed mode A, then restart 10 minutes later, feed mode is 5 minutes. My question is, is there a way to stop the ato from pumping water after start up?

No. That is a quirk of the Tunze that can't be overwritten in any way.

How are you using the FeedA cycle? What for? Unless whatever you are doing during FeedA causes the water level to go down, there's no need to suppress ATO.

I would assume to supress the annoying alarm ring that the tunze will do when the upper sensor gets picked.

Yes, I only use it to feed... and to silence the alarm... I'm not an advanced user

The Tunze comes with a second mount that you can use to move the float switch to a higher location in the sump so it doesn't sound the alarm when the water rises in feed mode eliminating the need to turn it off. The trade-off is if the Tunze optical sensor malfunctions then it could add more water up to the level of the float switch. That being said, you can set an alarm triggered by a drop in salinity to let you know there is a potential problem with the ATO. I have two Tunze 3155s on two separate tanks that have been flawless in two years of operation.
