    Power consumption eb8

I just got the apex 2016 and and I have an extra eb8. Now that the eb832 has power consumption monitoring i was wondering if it was possible to monitor the overall power consumption of the eb8 by plugging the eb8 into one of the eb832 outlets, or would this be a bad idea?

Generally, not a good idea. It is only feasible to do if the total power load on devices plugged into that EB8 cannot possibly exceed the limits of an EB832 outlet - 7 amps and 780 watts.

There are other reasons not to do it, such as reduced resiliency - you lose power to the EB832, that EB8 is powerless as well.

Your not going to get full power and AMP's that the 8 needs as well. I wouldnt do it unless you just have a couple of things on the one and they dont draw a lot of amps. But I wouldnt do it.
