Apex Jr. Lost Comm to Fusion

I recently hooked up an Apex Jr. to my tank. I made it wireless using an Airport Extreme and an Airport Express by Apple. It worked great for about 10 days but now I can't access fusion even if I directly plug in the Ethernet cable from the modem to the apex.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Have you rebooted it yet? If not do that first.

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. It's still doing everything I programmed it to do so far, just can't get back on fusion. I even had the internet company come out and check my service.

What does the Display module show for Apex Fusion in the main menu?

Apex Jr. Lost Comm to Fusion

Have you checked if the connection between the airport extreme and the router is good?

Best way is to plug a laptop with the WiFi turned off into the AirPort Extreme and see if you can get to the Internet.

Just connected it like you said and the internet works fine through the airport extreme with WiFi turned off on laptop.

That might not be the best test. You might need to do that same through the Express. Hard to say since you don’t say exactly how everything is connected or how the Extreme and Express are configured.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

The Extreme is connected to the internet through a wired connection. The express has the apex plugged into it and is setup to join the extreme's network wirelessly.

Ok, then plug the computer into the express and see if you can get to the internet. I'm not familiar with Apple networking products so not sure which is the router and which is the adapter.

Ok, I'm plugged into the express now and can access the internet fine. The extreme is the router and the express is the adapter.

So, when running ApexBrowse on my computer it is able to find the apex. Also, I know that internet is going to the apex. Now I just need to figure out what is causing the apex module to display 'no comm' for apex fusion....

So, I'm still where I started but at least I know the internet is fine and the apex can be found on the network.

Reboot the express and the extreme then reboot the ApexJr.

I've actually tried that several times. I've even unplugged everything and then turned on one device at a time starting closest to the modem and then moving downstream to the apex. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I got some help from neptune support and they had me turn off the DCHP and change some addresses on the display module. Now everything is back to normal.
