Hello,
I am a noob at all of this. I have my Apex plugged into LAN 1 on my router. However, I don't see the apex on my network. I'm not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,

Have you tried browsing to http://apex.local from the browser on any computer on the same network?
Alternatively, if you can log into your router and look at the DHCP table, see if you can locate the IP address the router assigned to the Apex and then browse to that IP address, such as http://192.168.0.15 (substitute the assigned address)
Hey,
I'm using an IP Scanner and the Apex Discovery Tool. I don't see the apex on either of them. Is that what you meant?
Is this a new Apex, or 2nd hand? If 2nd hand then possibly the previous owner set it for a static IP so it's not asking for a DHCP address and could be on a different subnet. If it's a brand new Apex, then either your DHCP service isn't properly handing out addresses, or the cable isn't seated or is faulty.
This is an old old apex I've had for many years. But when I moved into this place I haven't been able to set it up properly. I decided today I should really tackle the issue. But it was my exboyfriend who set it up. Is there a way to see if he used a static IP address?
The simple thing to do is a full factory reset. To initialize the Apex to factory settings press and hold the reset button with a paperclip for at least 60 seconds. The Apex status light will go from Orange>Green> Purple> Green> Orange> Blue

After this you should be able to browse to http://apex.local or find it with your IP scanner.
All I have to work with is the EB4. I pressed the reset on there. Still not seeing anything on the scanner though. Arg.
Is it an Apex Jr or a classic Apex?
Do you have a working display module?

The EB4 has nothing to do with this. That reset button is only for resetting the circuit breaker. The brains of the Apex is the Apex head unit, not the EB4, so you will need to find the reset button on the Apex itself. I'm assuming you probably have an older Apex, perhaps the Classic or Jr?
It's the Jr without the display.
I don't have the Jr, so I can't help much more. From what I've read if you have the Apex Jr without a display, you'll probably need to contact Neptune Support for help to reset it to factory defaults.
The Apex Browse Utility should see the Apex even if it has a static IP address which is foreign to your current home network.
Do you have a link LED lit on the LAN1 jack on the router and is the green LED on the Apex's Network jack lit?
What color is the Apex Jr's status LED?
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
Download the latest firmware for the Jr. Inside that download there is a firmware update utility that can discover the Jr and can allow you to configure the network settings even if it's not on the same subnet and you dont have a display (magnifying lens icon)

The status light is green. The Apex's network jack on the right is green and the left is yellow. There is no light next to the LAN1 but the front of the router is all green.

OK I will try downloading the newest firmware and see what happens. Thank you!
Capture.PNG This is what I'm getting when I try to update the firmware. I think I'm SOL.
Yeah I was using that in the beginning and nothing shows up. Capture.PNG
Have you tried a different ethernet cord and rebooted the jr after connecting the cord?

Well some good news. I was able to get onto the browser. Now I just need to figure out how to setup the app and link it to Fusion.
