    Grounding plug

Question: is the ground on an outlet still active if the plug is turned off? I assume yes but needed to check for my probe.

In most cases I would say yes.
I have never run into a case where it wasn't anyway.
But if it is important I'd get an ohm meter and check it to be sure.
