ATK pump burned out

My ATK just died.
On disassembly it has melted.
I will note when working the pmup would only run for a few seconds very frequently and this was a new behavior that started after updating the module.
Previously it would run for a minute or so but much less frequently.
In both circumstances the sump water level was maintained,
I have an Apex classic
Current ATK program

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Swx8_1 OPEN Then ON
If Swx8_2 CLOSED Then OFF
If Sw1 CLOSED Then OFF
Defer 001:00 Then ON

Swx are the optical sensors
Sw is a reservoir float switch to the breakout box.
This is the generic programming
Is this Ok?

The ATK pmup is garbage. I went through 2 and finally used 24v to 9v converter and used Tunze pump.

You also want

Defer 000:10 Then OFF
Min Time 060:00 Then ON
When On > 005:00 Then OFF

The min time prevents it from short cycling by forcing it to wait at least an hour since its last fill before it can fill again. The defer then OFF makes it overfill past the sensor just a tad. The when statement limits runtime to 5 minutes.

The defer you have right now makes it wait 1 minute after the sensors have called for fill continuously. This prevents it from turning on for noise spikes or waves in the sump.
