    Dos ATO help

Hey everyone i just got a Dos set up for my tank and am not ready to start Dosing chemicals yet, But need to be able to auto add water to my tank while i am going on a cruise in 20 days. I though i read where some people were using the dos as an auto top off system, If so can someone help me with the programming of that.

If you go into your "Task" there is a task to set it up for auto and manual water change. That would be your easiest way to set it up. And its very fast to do as will.

Both of the above responses pertain to AWC and not ATO as the OP requested.

For ATO, take a rough guess on how much evaporation your tank uses each day and double that value. Enter that amount in the wizard and then in the advanced tab add a line to shut it off when your normal level float is reading high water. If you don't have a float or optical, don't double the value and skip the switch line in the advanced tab.

Ah you got me on that. I screwed up. He needs 2 optical sensors or at least one so you dont over fill it.

right now i have it set up and working pretty well, I have it adding 3000ml of water per day over the course of 12 hours. I may need to bump it up a little to keep the water level where i want it. The only reason i am doing this is because i am going to be on vacation out of the country for a week and want to not worry about water level in the tank. Yes i have someone coming over to feed the cats and i will have them make sure the top off container has plenty of water in it as well.
