    Check for Bloackout/Brownout

My Aquarium is connected to a UPS with approx 2 to 3 hrs run time. In the event of Blackout/Brownout, I would like to save power to increase my run time by turning off the skimmer (or run it less), turn off display lights, sump light and activate lunar light, turn off some wave pumps, etc.

Base on Apex chart, turning off the Skimmer and Display Light alone will triple my run time (Hoping for 6 to 9 hrs)

I have 2 more ports available on the 6 Switch Imput. What device or DIY can I use to check for power.

    Thanks

Select “power monitor enable” and plug the apex brain plug in an outlet that will lose power during an outage. The plug turns into a sensor (this will not work with the jr)

many of us will put all all the essentials on one power bar and shut of everything off on all other bars.

i run my main pump, one tunze and my DOS for alk. I have 9 hours of run time.

Just to clarify the above post, the plug he is referring to is the apex 12V aux power supply.

So I need to connect a 12V DC adaptor to the Aux power of the base unit and to a wall electrical outlet
The I test for it using

    Outlet Skimmer
If Power Apex Off Then OFF

If the electrical power is ON Apex should be on the ON State otherwise it off. Correct?
I just want to confirm that the base unit can have dual power source (Aux power & EB832)
I checked the documentation and non was mention about dual power source.

    Thanks

It works. Good thing you clarify this, I taught I would have to purchase another Powerbar
