    WAV adjustment extension

Wondering if anyone has tried to print an extension adapter for the inner magnet? I need to mount my WAV on the back wall, but would like it at a 45 degree angle. If I had an adapter of the same radius as the mounting channel, with corresponding g Male and female channels, i could increase the mount angle, and maybe stack multiple adapters to have flow parallel to the back wall.

That looks perfect, if you printed it after your post, let me know how it worked out, and if I can get you to print me one.

Needs to be reef safe material of course.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
I didn’t get around to printing it yet - been busy. I’ll give it a try in the next couple of days however. I’d easily print one for you but I am in the UK

ABS will be fine. I’ll hopefully get around to printing one this weekend. Hope it all works out for you.

glad to see some people are using this. i put up all of the design elements i used to create the adaptor so that it can easily be adjusted for different angles, or even different mounts. i am sure someone can make it look prettier than i did, but it definitely gets the job done. the 2 final versions i printed before creating the part on Thingiverse are still working fine and i have not had any problems with them at all.

Has anyone tried to make the WAV 90 degrees and did it work? I'm assuming the 45 degree plus the 20 degree built into the WAV work fine but I need even more. Maybe I just need around 60 degrees in this item plus the built in 20 would be enough.

kylarse - where did you get that foam prefilter shown in the picture? That's just what I need.

i provided the rail and the slide parts i created for those who want to tinkercad, or whatever your STL editor of choice is, them to any angle they may want or need.

if you are not able to do it, i might be able to find the time to create an adaptor that could be a 90 degree, or at least have 90 as an option.

    G~

I can confirm, I use the MP40 foam covers on my WAV and they fit perfectly:

I've always heard ABS was toxic. Wouldn't this be better printed in PETG?

Does the foam cover fall apart over time, or can it be rinsed in tap water, wrung out, and re-used?

    TIA...

I’m interested in buying one too. Is there a way to get one without being able to print myself.

I ordered mine directly from Thingverse, took 2 weeks to arrive.

There is a community of people with 3D printers who will print it there, and ship it to you. Mine is Black abs, 25% infill 0.1mm layer thickness. I think it cost about $25.

I just had one printed and it is 99% perfect. I need the WAV to be 90% from the base. It would be nice if this were just a hair longer as it just falls short (it can go the 90, but it's too close to the end and a bit unstable).
