    Finnex 300W heater issues

I have a finnex 300 W heater and having all sorts of issues. I had the inkbird before the Apex and no issues. Apex is set to 76.5 current temp and Finnex controller is showing 81.0. I have checked with another digital thermometer and also checked with my thermometer i use for the turkey(lol) and they both read same 76.6-77.0.. I woke up and my temp was 75.9 and apex did not turn on heater. Here is my programming:

    Fallback OFF
If Tmp < 77.5 Then ON
If Tmp > 78.5 Then OFF
If Tmp < 75.5 Then OFF
If Power Apex Off 001 Then OFF
If Power EB832_2 Off 003 Then OFF

    what am I doing wrong?

Do you have one or more EnergyBars plugged into a UPS?

Do you have a 12v adapter connected to the Apex’s aux power jack and plugged into a wall outlet (not a UPS)?

Is the Power Monitor feature enabled or disabled? (It’s found on the Misc configuration page)

If you have an EB plugged into a UPS *and* have a 12v adapter, then Power Monitor should be enabled. If you do not have those two required conditions, the Power Monitor must be left at its default setting of Disabled.

I suspect that you have enabled Power Monitor but don’t have the necessary conditions to properly use that feature.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

    Hi RussM,
I have the EB32 directly connected to wall. I do however have a power strip connected to outlet 6 of my EB32. I do not have any UPS.. Power Monitor is disabled. For me to get my tank to 78.6 I have to set finnex to 83.0 ? that's a pretty big difference

Set the finnex 2 degrees above whatever it reads when the tank is at the correct temp. Heater thermostats are often off by quite a bit.
