    pH probe calibration as KH

I have the Alkatronic hooked up to my Apex via a BNC cable. The KH reading is via a pH probe. The programming of the Alkatronic involves sending a pH 7 and pH 10 signal to the Apex when running the Apex pH probe calibration.

My problem is the KH reading on my Apex is always is slightly off from the actual value displayed on the Alkatronic. For example, the actual KH is 8.46, but the Apex reads it as 8.51. I've tried re-calibrating and removing/adding the temperature compensation but no success in getting the value to match. This is something of a minor problem as it will cause my Apex programming not to trigger my CA reactor pump exactly when I want it to--8.5.

Does anyone know what to do about this?

I would not worry about that minor of a difference. You are kind of splitting hairs at that point.

I know it's not a big difference, but I have my KH set at 8.5, so it makes a difference.

If you are worried about 0.05 difference, change your apex setpoint to 8.55

This is normal and an unavoidable side effect of translating the signal between digital and analog. I have a KHG and the apex will read a few hundredths different. I agree you should not worry about it.
