My 2 ph probes are way diff

I did them both in the same calibration fluids separately of corse. Ones reading 7.95 one is 8.02 I just added a new one cause I’m setting up a calcium reactor any ideas or thoughts on this would be helpful!

If you didn't let them sit in the solution long enough each, that can cause skewing between the two. There is also non-linearity error in the pH probes that is in the 0.05 pH error vicinity.

Thanks so much for the reply. But when the calibration settled while calibrating I let them sit for 15-20 seconds. Is there a point in letting them sit longer? I guess my biggest concern is the .7 apart a big deal when using a calcium reactor?

They should sit for a minimum of 5 minutes. You can tell they are done similar to popcorn. If the reading has not changed in about 30 seconds it's done.

Ok great soooooo last question. 5 min in the 7 and 5 min in the 10? I just checked the reading they are now .5 apart. Should I just be happy with that?

Yes 5 min in each. I have had some probes take up to 10 minutes though. The number fully settling is the driver.

Using the Input setup page of the Classic Dashboard, enable pH2. This will also disable ORP.
