Momentary push button AND toggle switch for same device

First off, I have an Apex Classic.

I recently got another BOB and was planning on various switches. Once scenario is combining a toggle switch to turn off something and a momentary button to pause that same something for period of time. While, using the same input on the BOB. The two contacts are run in series and both are normally closed (NC). Hardware wise, would this work? Seems like it to me. On the same device I could choose to manually invoke a timer OR turn off completely until switched back.

BOB terminal #1------> button >------->switch>--------BOB GND terminal

While it is possible to do so if properly wired (you would actually want NO of toggle in series with NC of momentary) the programming is incredibly complex and would require a lot of VOs and black magic that would be difficult to troubleshoot later.

If you want to do this, use multiple switch ports or use a VO to pause.
