Hello,
I recently ordered an ICP test fro ATI. The Salinity in the report was 35.48 my salinity readings around the time of the sample was 34.8 so I just recalibrated and get 36.1.
My tank has run around the 34.8 reading for months. I've calibrated the probe many times with and without temp compensation. Currently, TC factor is zero. I have it zero because after floating the solution for 30min and calibrating it read at 35 when I reintroduced it back to the calibration solution with TC at zero.
So my question regardless of the reading being 34.8 vs 36.1 is how should I interpret a variance from the ICP test? Should I treat the ATI as the true value and try to get the probe through TC or something else to match? or maybe even consider the ATI as true and keep a mental note of the offset.
Thanks in advanced.
