    Second FMM problems

    Hello all. Need a little help with my second FMM. I’m trying to hook up additional flow sensors so I purchased another flow sensor kit that comes with a couple of flow sensors and an FMM. When I connect the second FMM via aquabus, not only is it not recognized, but the original FMM , which has been working fine, indicates it’s disconnected. I’m plugging the new one and the original one is fine again. I have tried different cables, tried to daisychain it in different spots, it is lighting up with a green light but for whatever reason is causing the first module to show disconnected even though it still has a greenlight. Is there a problem with The module maybe or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Update the firmware of the existing one, then unplug it, plug in the new one and update its firmware. Then plug the original one back in.

    I tried this, when I get to the point of plugging in the new one, the Apex does not even show it exists, still shows only FMM_8, which is the old one. So, with the old one unplugged and the new one plugged it, the Apex seems to think the new one is FMM_8, and when I update firmware on FMM_8, the new one blinks. Plug the old one back in and both green lights, but now we are back to FMM_8 disconnected shows on fusion. Not sure what to try next.

    You might need to have support telnet in and manually assign them.

    To close the loop here, Neptune solved the issue. Had a phone support session with Luis @ Neptune tonight and he fixed the problem. There was an address conflict. He said it was “pretty rare” but it happens. Using the Neptune screen sharing program, Luis was able to assign the second FMM a new address in about 5 minutes. I was pretty impressed.
