New Neptune Solenoid not opening...how can i verify if it is faulty or not?

I bought a brand new Neptune solenoid to use with the FMM for reservoir top off. The FMM is recognized and the OS 1 and 2 are recognized and working so far. The solenoid has power going to it verified with a voltmeter. The solenoid does not respond to commands to open.

Is there any way I can check if it is a mechanical issue or a connection issue or a software issue?

Getting real irritated with the number of new products for reefing that I have bought recently that don't work out of the box.

You said the solenoid has power going to it verified by a voltmeter - I’m assuming 24V? There’s not much to a solenoid. You turn the power on and the electromagnet and it opens (or closes if it’s a normally open type.)

Where do you have it plugged in? If you’re using the FMM, you need to have a power supply plugged in to the FMM separate from the aquabus cable. Have you tried the solenoid in another DC24 outlet?
