Apex 2016 Not Seeing Second Hand DOS

I purchased a second hand DOS unit, but my apex 2016, isn't seeing it. I'm running the latest FW on the Apex, not sure what's on the DOS or how to check.

I've tried through fusion and logging into the apex directly, I can't see it anywhere. I am getting flashing orange LED's on the DOS it'self.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Salt

Do you have it plugged into either a power supply brick or a 1Link port?

I have it plugged into the power brick, then USB to the APEX Brain.

First update the module firmwares for every other module and then plug the DOS back in and see if it connects. If that doesn't do it, unplug every module from the head unit and just plug the DOS in (the DOS can power the head unit). If it connects then, update its module firmware and plug everything else back in. If it doesn't, contact support.

Thanks! Tried this, when plugging in the DOS to the brain with about the EB832, it doesn't power the APEX at all. I only get flashing lights on the dos when it's plugged into the APEX via usb. Still not seeing anything. Should I get LED's when JUST the power supply is plugged in?

    Thanks,

You plugged the DOS power supply in when you did this step correct?

Correct. I verified there is voltage on the dos power supply and I can test the pumps with it plugged in but can’t when it’s not.

    Thanks

I have two DOS units plugged into my classic. I had a problem with the controller not seeing one of them during set up. I had one bus branch that would go from one DOS to the other DOS.

After playing around for a bit I found if I used the display to manually turn head 1 of the only DOS that was showing up both head 1 units turn on. I think somehow both units ended up with the same bus address. I deleted the DOS and plugged each DOS into the controller one at a time. It worked the second time.

    hope this makes sense.

It does, but I only have one, I can't see it anywhere on the Apex.
