Number of EB8 or EB4 that can be connected.

Working on some pre-wiring for the house to manage the mix/QT room and display/Sump.

Is there a limit to how many EB8s can be controlled on a single Apex?

Up to 29 modules of any type and mix can be connected to an Apex.

    Russ,

I'm planning a next level (for me at least) build and have noticed that the new EB832 have only 2 USB ports vs the EB8 which had 6.

That means that instead of doing the typical star-type configuration of modules they now have to be daisy chained - with that increasing the possibility of failure for devices further down the chain.

IS there a a "hub" module that would allow multiple modules to connect directly and if not, is there a certain order that these should be daisy chained with say power strips first and modules at the end etc.

Please let me know your thoughts; perhaps I'm seeing it wrong.

It actually has 3. I am not aware of a USB splitter available that isn't an active hub (those would go poof), but it might exist.

You're right, it is 3! The way I have it positioned I didnt even see the 3rd port below. My mistake. So 3 is a little better I guess. There are 3 EB832s and bunch of modules I'm planning so I was worried a bit about daisy chaining with just 2 ports - 3 will make things a bit easier; no ideal, a bit better.
