    Dos Head Power Monitoring?

is there anyway with the dos to sense change in power required on each dos head? My thought here is to be able to sense when a dos head needs changing . For example if the normal power draw per step of the motor is xx watts to be able to trigger an alarm when the wattage draw goes outside of the set range... this would indicate the pump head is having an issue, either tubing needs replacement or kink in tubing etc... Essentially same ability on the new energy bar outputs. thoughts ?

Even if it could, that doesn't indicate when heads need changing.

you don't think there would be a difference in the amperage that the motor was using?

what are the best ways to protect against failed heads on the dos? inline check valves etc?

Nope. The o ly thing wattage would tell you is if the motor failed completely.

Head failure is typically a torn or clogged tubing. The only way to know this happens is to regularly inspect the tubing and make sure bubbles aren't in the lines and when you hear the heads move you see drops come out.
