Is there a way to disable WiFi all together?

Unlike the masses, I despise the Wi-Fi and run anything essential through wired ethernet, often not buying devices that are Wi-Fi only.

That said, is there a way to disable it completely? Currently I am test driving the 2016 in my office and people often ask me about APEX Setup_XXXXX SSID

it shows disabled under Network Setup - What gives?

Reboot and it will be gone.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

I'd love to but I just remoted into my office and I can't get into it. Logged into Fusion and the 2016 is no longer connected.

Can't wait for morning to see WTH happened.

In order to test possible power outage scenarios I'm going to use my spare Jr. to simulate power outages few times per week. Hope the switch from classic to 2016 doesnt turn into some sort of major disappointment.

So, I got back to the office and the units lights are all ok

I pull the aquabus from the head unit and plug it back in, nothing.

Few pulls of cable later, delete the lease off the router, etc. i got the unit back online.

Set to Static IP and now I couldnt access it locally but I can see it via Fusion,

Another restart and I can log into it locally at the new IP.

Why is there an orange LED lit at the Ethernet port even if the cable is unplugged?

Why the Apex only connects at 100Mbit? I understand the device is not bandwidth intensive but dang its 2019.

Orange LED on the Ethernet jack indicates that the Ethernet circuitry is powered; it will always be lit orange unless something is wrong. It has nothing to do with the link status.

    So no gigabit?

No. There would be no tangible benefit to having Gigabit over Fast Ethernet in the Apex.

That said, perhaps POE would provide a benefit of an AUX / backup power.

All set, testing one scheduled power outage per day for both EBs with few on/offs of individual strips for now. No Aux power for head unit for now.
