Question Calibration issues with Ph and Salt - out of the box system

Just got my Apex system, have it running on my PC (Windows) via ethernet.

    Tried to calibrate the salinity
and it won't complete the calibration steps, I think I got to step 3 or 4 once, now I get hung up on step 2:Salinity.jpg

I read on the beginners posts that that a new salinity probe might need to be soaked for a few hours (or a day) before calibrating so I have it soaking in RO now.

Attempting to calibrate pH I was able to get to the testing of the 10.0 solution once but then it timed out. Since then I can't get past step 3:

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Make sure both are fully seated in their jacks and that you twisted on the BNC connector for the pH probe.

Don't try calibrating the cond probe until tomorrow at the earliest (let it soak in the tank not RODI) and make sure to research all the gotchas about bubbles, matching temp, etc.

I’ve recently calibrated my ph probe now the reading is like 8.5 instead of in the low 7 ‘s it normally sits. I also added a second ph probe Neptune one too for another tank. I put this one in the same tank as the first and it always reads even higher than the probe about 9.2 which seems even after recent calibration. I calibrate with 4 first as my low solution & then the seven solution. I’m running a freshwater tank with co2 turning off at 7.1 but I can’t get the ph down at the moment because I feel I’m getti incorrect readings. Please help

I'd wait a week on the cond probe. Mine kept changing over a 5 day period and got pretty stable at that point and hasn't changed since.
As zombie says above, see the bubble and temp issue threads as well. The bubbles in particular make a significant difference.
