    Optic sensor unreliable.

The low water level sensor in my ATK several times failed to open when the water level dropped. Are the optic sensors unreliable by default?

How low did the level drop?

    Is the sensor dirty?

Are the jacks actually pressed in all the way (this takes a bit of force)?

The whole sensor was out. It does look reasonably clean and yes, the jacks are pushed all the way in.
