Are all of the AC outlets rated for the same current load? I noticed on Cobalt Aquatics website that they recommend plugging their heaters into socket 4 or 8 only. Does anyone know why that might be?

That only relates to the EB8. Not the EB832. All the outlets on the EB832 are rated to 7 amps.
