new apex 2016 + Eb6 schuko EU version

    Hi all,

I've a problem with an European APEX 2016 kit and its EB6 energy bar, DE/EU schuko standard.

I got always a 0 Ampere reading, in all the conditions of load (return pump, skimmer, heater)

    Any idea?

    Matteo

There are instructions in the classic apex user manual on how to zero the reading over telnet. I would try that and if it doesn't work (haven't tried it on the 2016 version personally), contact support.

i made the zero procedure with my classic, some years ago. the actual problem is with new apex 2016, owned by friend of mine.

I brought too a new apex 2016 eu kit, that's incoming tomorrow for an update of my "classic" setup. So I can directly test on mine, in the next days.

But.. not very professional that the user must to calibrate with telnet command (not so easy for normal user) each EB out from box, to work properly...

They are supposed to be zeroed from the factory, but sometimes it gets missed or a firmware update screws it up. Out of 5 energy bars I have owned only one needed it and it was after a firmware update screwed it up.

today I help another friend to run up a apex LE + eb6 EU schuko.

we perform a fw update of EB6, then with telnet, made a eb8zero 2. (the eb6 has the 2 address).

Same here as the day before with the Apex 2016.... with return and skimmer signs 0-0.1 Amp, both before and after calibration (made with all disconnected). minus then real value.

the calibration for the new generation apex is the same as the classic, or we have a new command/procedure??

I think the procedure is the same, but I I haven't tried it personally since my EBs were already properly zeroed.
