A new AOS release is now available.

5.05_6B19 release notes:

  • Enhanced display of current Trident status/activity on the APEX Local and APEX Fusion dashboards. See additional notes about this below.
  • Resolves an issue seen in a few cases in the field where the Trident stops operating unexpectedly
  • Resolves an issue with the WAV tiles not properly indicating a STALL condition
  • When in Wi-Fi Setup mode, the Apex will now display a list of up to 64 wireless networks (double the number that could be shown previously)
  • After an AOS update is installed, and the Apex restarts, communications between the Apex and APEX Fusion will now be fully reestablished much sooner
  • After any AOS update, the Apex restarts, and it then downloads updated versions of all of the files comprising the APEX Local graphical user interface. That process now typically takes only 1/3 to 1/2 as long as it used to.

With this AOS, the Trident tile will no longer display a generic TESTING message when it is busy initializing, priming, or conducting water tests. Instead, more detailed status/activity messages will be shown. These enhanced Trident status/activity messages are:

IDLE
INITIALIZING
PRIME SAMPLE
PRIME A
PRIME B
PRIME C
TESTING ALK
TESTING CA/MG
CAL ALK
CAL CA/MG

Trident error messages (those displayed in red text) are still the same - NO WATER SAMPLE, WASTE FULL, REAGENT A, etc.

This release includes updated Trident firmware; the Trident version is now 12. Be sure to update your Trident after updating the Apex. After updating the Trident firmware, the Trident will restart and go through an initialization process; the Trident tile will display INITIALIZING during this process. The first set of Alk/Ca/Mg tests performed after the Trident firmware update will take roughly twice as long (30-40 minutes); this is normal and expected to occur after a Trident module firmware update. Subsequent tests should take the usual amount of time (15-20 minutes).
