This is one of the first cables I did...before I was using heatshrink to seal it.

    Thanks Torx!
So to confirm, do you or do you not use Jebao controller? Also, do you know if the DC12000 Waveline is 0-5v or 0-10v. I bought a DC12000 Waveline and am having a hard time figuring out how to wire it to Apex. Do you make a harness that would fit the Waveline pumps?
    Thanks

You do not use controller. The apex takes over.

I am getting a Jebao DC-12000 shortly (on preorder right now), I have seen these pumps working with this type of harness 0-5v

Your using the pw from the jabao unit and then the control part with 0-5v +/- go to channels into your Apex via the Rj-45 connector plug in on your Apex.

Correct, I am using the stock power source (wall plug) for the 2 pumps. I use 3 pin waterproof connecters that I purchased to connect the harness to the pump. I connect it to the Apex with the RJ-45 and cut the Apex voltage using a voltage divider. I do not have the stock controller attached at all. I have been loving this DIY more then all my others that I have done in the past years. I personally have 2 WP 40's on it currently, I had a 25 and a 40 previously.

I want to make this for the Waveline DC12000 pump, but am not exactly sure if its a 0-10v or 0-5v. Also from the ballast, there is a 4 pin connector and from the pump its a 3 pin connector. Trying to make a DIY cable for this is a little beyond my technical expertise. Too bad you don't make a cable for that pump, cause I would buy it in a second.

Woah, that Waveline DC12000 is a tank and bulky. The controller is huge and the ballast ... yes ballast, not just a dc power adapter ... is crazy huge. The extra cable pin from the ballast is most likely to power the cooling fan on the controller. I have no idea about the harness' for these, I would need to test the wires, not sure if anyone has the guts to test these though. It is simple enough if you know what you are doing. I would not suggest just trying it though.

Ordered my Jebao DC-12000 today, order goes in tonight, hoping to see it delivered soon. The cable is just a straight plug into the wall and a controller, nice sleek and ready to go.

The ballast has a really nice aluminium housing. I guess that the 4th output pin would be for the fan of the controller perhaps. I guess I may have to wait until RLSS releases their new digital controller with Rj45 jack built in. I may take the volt meter and check out the readings.

I didn't have any time at home to post the programming and too much to do on my phone. I will post it tomorrow. Sorry for the late reply

I have a few profiles set up, depending on my mood. I do not have anything fancy on them. Wave1 plays most of the day, then WaveSleep at night, just to quite the tank a little more.

    VSP
    Fallback ON
    Set Wave1
    If Time 21:00 to 10:00 Then WaveSleep2
    If FeedA 000 Then OFF

    Apex Profile Setup

    Profile Name: Wave1

    Control Type
    Oscillate pump setup
    Synchronize Enabled
    Divide by 10 Enabled
    Initial off time (Seconds) 5
    On time (Seconds) 7
    Off time (Seconds) 5
    Minimum intensity 30
    Maximum intensity 70

    Profile Name Wave2

    Control Type
    Oscillate pump setup
    Synchronize Enabled
    Divide by 10 Enabled
    Initial off time (Seconds) 0
    On time (Seconds) 10
    Off time (Seconds) 5
    Minimum intensity 40
    Maximum intensity 80

    Profile Name WaveSleep2

So, how did your last batch of cables turn out? The 3pin male/female you listed here aren't compatible.

The connector is much smaller size then the jebao connector. The outside threaded portion on the female connector is smaller then the male connector on the jebao cables.

Done! A new post can only be edited for 120 minutes after first posted, except by admins/mods.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

Was it the eBay source that had the wrong connectors? That's who I ordered from. I guess I'll find out for sure in a few days.
